THE VIEW is a trio of farm style guest cottages, all with a unique and spectacular view across the
Albert Falls Dam in the Midlands of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Being self-catering, you can indulge yourselves at your own leisurely pace and simply enjoy
being on our farm. We know you will enjoy the welcome and warmth of old school, country
hospitality and we will gladly share our little patch of Heaven with you.

Location
Situated on the edge of the Albert Falls Dam, access to our farm is via Gumtree Lane just before the Msinsi Albert Falls Dam entrance 1.4km from the farm.

DIRECTIONS
From N3 Johannesburg/Durban
Take Dr Chota Motala offramp in the
direction of R33 Northdale/Greytown
Turn right at R33 New Greytown Road
Travel approx 17km and turn left
towards Cramond/Albert Falls Dam
Turn 1st left towards Albert Falls Dam and 2nd left onto Gumtree Lane.
Travel along this dirt road to the
railway crossing.
The sliding gate will be straight ahead and from where you will contact your host for access.

Our dirt roads are maintained regularly and easily travelled in an SUV.
​
There is ample open parking for boats with nearby water and power points.

Guests may take a leisurely
walk around the perimeter to take in
the views, watch the animals and birds and even sit next to the little dam to
take in the surrounding beauty.

Albert Falls Quickmart is a small general dealers which stocks fresh, dry, frozen and tinned food, and other necessities. The deli has an excellent takeaway menu!
Petrol, diesel and gas are also available.
​
Pro Angler Fishing Shop offers a nice range of the latest fishing gear.
​
Cramond Store is a general dealer that offers the basic necessities including household furniture.
​
Miniature Railway and Station
Master's Arms offer a great menu for adults and kids, a kid's play area, and of course the train is a treat for everyone. Check them out on Facebook for upcoming BIG SCREEN events.

Evergreen Timber in Cramond is your closest stop for basic tools, nuts, bolts and other DIY items, as well as building materials.
​
Security and emergency providers in the area include SAPS Cramond, MI7, Isquandu, Red Alert and U91one

THE VIEW GARDEN COTTAGE
is located in the host's garden
and offers 3 lovely en-suite
bedrooms and a lounge. King beds
can be made up as single beds
on request and this unit can accommodate up to 6 guests.
​​The rooms all have wall or ceiling fans.
A shower chair is available on request
as is a mobile camp cot (incl linen)

The covered veranda is just lovely, a spot where Guests can sit no matter the weather, any time of the day or night

​THE COTTAGE
is a stand alone cottage located just 150m from The View. Operating
on gas and solar, this cute, compact
and comfortable cottage is fully functional. It offers 2 bedrooms with single beds, plus a day bed in the
lounge, accommodating a total of
4 adults and 2 children
There are two ablution rooms: a shower room and a full bathroom with a lovely deep bath.
The undercover braai veranda is perfect day and night and the buck are regular visitors to the garden which can be enclosed.

MAFLUTE'S
located next to the shed, this little gem will accommodate 6 adults, with a 7th person in the lounge.
This cottage has a fully functional kitchen, open plan dining and lounge area, plus a fantastic outdoor entertainment, braai and dining areas.
It is child and pet friendly and
sufficiently adapted to accommodate Guests in wheelchairs or with walking aids.
