Requirement:
Full payment is required at the time of booking or by arrangement a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking with the balance payable 3 days prior to arrival or cash on arrival but by prior arrangement only.

Payment methods:
EFT, direct deposit, cash (regret no card facility available) Proof of payment must please be emailed to jlerskine@mweb.co.za

Confirmation:
A booking will only be confirmed once our Bank has issued a receipt of payment.
​
Cancellations and Refunds:
A 50% refund will only be issued on cancellations 4 days or more in advance where full payment has been made. No refund will be made on cancellations less than 4 days in advance.
No refund will be made on the 50% deposit.
Refunds will be effected within 7 working days of cancellation.

Surcharges:
A surcharge will be levied on all broken/damaged/missing items at the current rate of replacement value.
A surcharge will also apply to any fixed asset damage including a professional call out fee to remedy such damage. Each Guest is responsible for returning their gate remote failing which a replacement cost of R500
will be levied. This will include a lost or damaged remote.

Booking Agents:
If guests make a booking through any Booking Agent, they must also adhere to the Terms and Conditions of the relevant Agent.

Personal:
All persons entering Farm Zeekoegat/Linlathen//The View/Coucal Cottage (premises) and any area surrounding the premises, or using any amenities or facilities on these premises, do so entirely at their own risk. These premises are private property and the owner, manager and/or operator of these premises reserves the right to refuse admission or entry to any person or visitor who is deemed to be under the influence of drugs, is inebriated on arrival, enters under false pretense and/or is deemed to pose a threat to the owner, manager and/or operator and any other person on these premises.
Vehicles: The View is not responsible for the loss of damage by fire, theft, collision or other cause to any vehicle or part thereof, or its contents. Please remove all valuables from vehicles. The owner/manager/operator is not responsible for the loss, damage or theft of any such items. The owner/manager/operator cannot be held responsible for any personal injuries of any nature that may occur iwhile on the premises.

Amenities:
The owner, manager and/or operator of these premises, amenities, facilities do not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury or death of any person or the loss or destruction of or any damage to any property arising from the use of the swimming pool and the associated amenities and facilities, regardless of the cause thereof. Use of the swimming pool and the associated amenities including walking and/or running on the premises/farm is strictly at own risk. Children are not allowed to use the swimming pool unless they are accompanied by an adult who is deemed “water safe”. No children under the age of 16 may play on the snooker table.

Appliances:
The owner, manager and/or operator of these premises, amenities, facilities do not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury or death of any person or the loss or destruction of or any damage to any property arising from the use of the cooking facilities or any appliances regardless of the cause thereof. This will extend to the use of all electrical and gas operated items.

Hot Water:
The geyser at The View is heated by solar energy and electricity and the geysers can reach a temperature of 80 degrees centigrade for solar heating and 65 degrees centigrade for electrical heating.
The geyser at Coucal Cottage is heated by gas and hot water is on demand. The geyser can reach a temperature of 80 degrees centigrade.
The owner, manager and/or operator of these premises do not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury or death of any person where such death or injury is hot water-related.

Covid-19 and General Health:
The owner, manager and/or operator of these premises do not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury or death of any person where such death or injury is Covid related or related to any other illness whatsoever.

Security:
The premises being the farm is fenced all around the perimeter and in addition, the suites at The View are situated within a fenced area. Security of these fences cannot be guaranteed although every effort will be made to uphold the maximum security, Guests staying at the View for more than one day will be issued a gate remote and they will remain responsible for the opening and closing of all vehicular and/or pedestrian security gates that they operate. The owner, manager and/or operator of these premises, amenities, facilities do not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury or death of any person which may be attributed to safety and security.

Animals:
All persons entering the premises must be aware that domestic and wild animals will be found within the perimeter of the premises and that such animals are owned by a 3rd party. At the vehicular and/or pedestrian gates, all persons entering or exiting are required to wait in their vehicle beyond the gate/s to ensure that such gate/s are securely closed before driving or walking off in order to maintain the security of the animals on the premises. The owner, manager and/or operator of these premises do not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury or death of any person which cause may be related to such animals. Failure to adhere to security requirements and which results in the injury or escape or death of any animal will result in damages being pursued by the owner of the animal/s being
The View or the 3rd party.

Acts of God:
The owner, manager and/or operator of these premises, amenities, facilities do not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury or death of any person arising from any Acts of God of any nature.

We follow safety protocols and take every precaution to help minimise the spread of Covid-19.

Guests may be required to complete a track and trace register on arrival and also record their daily temperature.

Masks may be worn in the communal area when more than 1 family is booked in.

Sanitising spray is provided in every suite and communal areas and everyone is encouraged to use these sprays.
