About Us
The View is a trio of small farm-style, self catering cottages, all with spectacular views across the
Albert Falls Dam facing the Karkloof hills. Being self catering, guests can indulge themselves at their own leisurely pace and simply enjoy being able to relax.
We know you will enjoy the typical Erskine welcome, with the warmth and charm of old school country hospitality, set in a little patch of Heaven.

Where are we?
Guests will enjoy an easy drive from Durban to Pietermaritzburg on N2
and then just 20 minutes along the R33 towards Greytown.
For guests flying into KZN, choose between Pietermaritzburg’s Oribi Airport
or Durban’s King Shaka International and then hire a car for the scenic drive to our farm.
All our Guests are provided with a Google Map pin location, but for ease of reference,
our farm road is just before the Msinsi Albert Falls Dam entrance and a
short 1.4km drive to our farm gate along a well maintained dirt road.
Guests need to contact Jennifer 0827363725 for access, whereafter Guests will have
a remote to manage their own entry and exit.
The Albert Falls Dam is one of the top Bass fishing dams in South Africa and the
venue for several competitions throughout the year. Guests with boats are most welcome
as there is plenty of parking available as well as power points to recharge batteries.
The use of our private farm gate onto Msinsi Slipway 2 requires pre-payment of
the appropriate daily rates at the Msinsi office.

4km to The Miniature Railway and Stationmasters Arms (kid's entertainment, restaurant and pub)
There are a lot of popular cycling and mountain biking routes in the area and cyclists can rest assured that there is an abundance of space for storage as well as a workshop where minor tune-ups and repairs can be made.

Health And Safety
We practise good hygiene and take every precaution to help minimise the spread of
germs and disease. Guests who are feeling poorly should ensure that they bring along
sufficient medication to avoid a town trip, and should take every precaution, including wearing a mask, to prevent infecting anyone else during their stay.
Sanitising spray is provided in every room and everyone is encouraged to use them.
Our linen is lightly sprayed with odourless sanitiser during room service.
Disposable sanitary bags are available in all bathrooms.

We don't have a mouse problem - we have a human problem!
Guests are encouraged to refrigerate cooked and raw food, or keep it stored in tightly sealed containers. Food left out or bins left open, will attract mice and we would like to avoid that!

We make every effort to provide a safe environment for our Guests and ourselves. We are always looking for safer alternatives and will welcome recommendations.
